FROM THE ARTIST: The historic Mead Ranch in Jackson, Wyoming lies in between two massive buttes and is framed by the Grand Tetons to the north. During the Fall of 2009, the Jackson Hole Land Trust had asked me to paint the ranch as part of a project called "View 22" highlighting conserved properties in the valley. I made several small studies that eventually led to this large 48x60 inch oil on canvas painting. It's one of my favorite pieces.
